OOPs

This is really what the front of my Father's Day card looked like. It was a big hit, especially since my Dad wanted tools for Father's Day.

In time for Father's Day

Getting ready to celebrate Father's Day with my dear old Dad. We seem to make our annual pilgrimage to Boston this time each year. Luckily, my hubby is so sweet and understanding. It can't be easy to have his family across the country for his Father's Day. We'll make it up when we get back.

I made this card for the father's in my life. The card is Always Artichoke with the Manchester DSP, Totally Tool and All Holiday.
We are supposed to be having a BBQ at my sister's place for Father's Day. The kids are so excited to play with their cousins.

I'm dying!

Do you realize that my new catalog is at my house, in the box it came in and I'm across the country unable to check it out?! My sneak peek stamp sets are in that box too, unmounted, hidden from the public, awaiting their debut. I may have to change my trip next year, so I can pour over the new catalog while I fly the 8 hours to visit my parents.

Don't tell me about it, it will just upset me... I've got the Stampin' Up, don't got my new catalog blues

Better sister news.

My poor sister was misdiagnosed. The Dr told her she had pneumonia without ever looking at the chest x-rays. She kept getting sicker and sicker... come to find out she was allergic to the codine prescribed for the "pneumonia". She went to the hospital, got pumped full of fluids, stopped taking the codine and is doing MUCH better today. I did pick up her children and brought them over to play with my kids so she can sleep. I'm such a great sister!

The cousins love spending time together. Every year, they act like it's been days instead of a year since they saw each other last.

Made it to Boston!

The kids and I had an uneventful trip to Boston. This is a good thing. My parents were so excited to see how much the kids have grown since last year. The speak on the phone quite regularly, but it's still fun to visit in person.

On a sadder note, my sister, Pamela, was rushed to the hospital with a bad case of pneumonia. I don't know the details yet and will keep you appraised of her progress.

Slacker, I know

I know, I've been slacking. I apologize for my followers. I'm heading to Boston to visit my folks for 2 weeks, so I may post without photos, we'll see.

We did these birthday pages in my Club Scrap group today. We used the Big Birthday Candle set (which is retiring, sadness). The background is Tempting Turquoise with Rainbow Sherbert as the candle base, the Scalloped Circle in Apricot Appeal as well as the flames.
